Notes from My Presentation at the Natural Triad Show

Last Saturday at the Natural Triad Health, Wellness and Green Living Show, I presented a free seminar on detoxification. The following is a compilation of my PowerPoint notes from the presentation:


Reality Check

  • We are full of chemicals
  • The world is full of chemicals
  • Our babies grow in a chemical soup the first 9 months of their lives
  • More chemicals are coming (air, water, food, personal care products)
  • The government and most corporations have not tested these chemicals for safety

In 2005, EWG tested for toxins in the umbilical cord blood from 10 newborn babies immediately after birth. They detected 287 chemicals of 413 tested (69 percent), with a range of between 154 and 231 for each child. Grownups compartmentalize toxins. Babies have leaky gut and blood brain barrier.

Chemicals in Commerce Act

  • Contact your representative: "As your constituent and a supporter of the Environmental Working Group, I urge you to strongly oppose the Chemicals in Commerce Act."
  • Reform of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) is long overdue. But, the Chemicals in Commerce Act (CICA) is actually worse than the current law.
  • As currently drafted, CICA would allow thousands of chemicals to be treated as safe with little or no review. The bill would also fail to protect children from chemical exposures, limit EPA's ability to use sound science and block states from protecting their own residents from dangerous chemicals.
  • Now is the time for real reform that ensures chemicals are safe before they're used in commerce.

Arguments Used by the Industry

  • "It's such a small amount."
  • "People will starve if we don't plant GMO foods."
  • "GMO/GE crops are substantially equivalent to conventional crops."
  • "Cell phones are safe."
  • "Chemtrail conspiracy people are crazy."
  • "Vaccines are safe."

Where do we get exposed to these chemicals?

  • Breathing
  • Eating
  • Bathing/showering
  • Drinking water
  • Getting dressed
  • Using personal care products
  • Living in our homes
  • Spending time at work
  • Cycling, running, driving on roads

Symptoms and Illness from Environmental Toxins

  • Fatigue, sleep disorders, brain fog or poor memory
  • Obesity, inability to lose weight
  • Sensitivity to odors
  • Any chronic illness or infection that doesn't get well with good treatment
  • Neurological, hormonal, allergic or autoimmune disease

How do these chemicals hurt us?

  • Generate free radicals and trigger oxidative stress and inflammation

Mobilization, Detoxification and Elimination

  • Ongoing, 80% of the body's energy
  • Mobilizing toxins out of the cells into the matrix > lymph > blood stream > liver > gut or kidneys > eliminate it through hair, nails, sweat and breath
  • Enterohepatic recirculation
  • Mobilizing toxins out of the fat cells with fat reduction diets, exercise or sauna into the matrix > lymph > blood stream > sweat

Coal Ash

  • Third-largest coal ash spill in U.S. history
  • Two months ago, a storm water pipe ruptured and as much as 39,000 tons of toxic coal ash was released into the Dan River in North Carolina
  • When previous coal ash accidents have occurred, water samples have found elevated levels of of arsenic, lead, chromium and mercury, which can cause cancer, neurological damage (or both) in humans
  • Duke Energy owns 100 million tons of coal ash in a total of 2,800 acres

Geoengineering/Climate Control

First ever recorded cloud seeding for weather modification: Operation Popeye was a U.S. military cloud seeding operation (running from March 20, 1967 until July 5, 1972) during the Vietnam war to extend the monsoon season over Laos, specifically areas of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. The operation seeded clouds with silver iodide, resulting in the targeted areas seeing an extension of the monsoon period an average of 30 to 45 days. As the continuous rainfall slowed down the truck traffic, it was considered relatively successful. The 54th Weather Reconnaissance Squadron carried out the operation to "make mud, not war.

Aluminum Vaccine Adjuvants: Are they safe?

  • Aluminum is an experimentally demonstrated neurotoxin and the most commonly used vaccine adjuvant
  • Despite almost 90 years of widespread use of aluminum adjuvants, medical science's understanding about their mechanisms of action is still remarkably poor.
  • There is also a concerning scarcity of data on toxicology and pharmacokinetics of these compounds.
  • In spite of this, the notion that aluminum in vaccines is safe appears to be widely accepted.
  • Research clearly shows that aluminum adjuvants have a potential to induce serious immunological disorders in humans specifically autoimmunity, long-term brain inflammation and associated neurological complications.
  • In our opinion, the possibility that vaccine benefits may have been overrated and the risk of potential adverse effects underestimated, has not been rigorously evaluated in the medical and scientific community.
  • We hope that the present paper will provide a framework for a much needed and long overdue assessment of this highly contentious medical issue.

Aluminum Content in Vaccines

  • Hib (PedVaxHib brand only) - 225 micrograms per shot
  • Hepatitis B - 250 micrograms
  • DTaP - depending on the manufacturer, ranges from 170 to 625 micrograms
  • Pneumococcus - 125 micrograms
  • HPV - 225 micrograms
  • Pentacel (DTaP, HIB and Polio combo vaccine) - 330 micrograms
  • Pdiarix (DTaP, Hep B and Polio combo vaccine) - 850 micrograms

Autoimmune Inflammatory Syndrome Induced by Adjuvants

Journal of Autoimmunololgy - in 2011 by Dr. Yehuda Schoenfeld, founder of the Zabludowicz Center. It includes a broad spectrum of neurological and immune-mediated phenomonena seen following vaccine injections, which result from exposure to their ingredients, including aluminum. Among ASIA's diagnostic criteria: weakness, anxiety, rashes, chronic fatigue, sleep disorders and the onset of a range of autoimmune diseases from Systemic Lupus Erythematosis to Rheumatoid Arthritis--sometimes years after an initial reaction.  

ASIA

"ASIA is a wide concept that includes any environmental factor which is demonstrated to trigger autoimmune conditions," said Rodriguez-Pinto. Cases of Gulf War Syndrome, which result from exposure to the chemical squalene, a component of vaccines used on military personnel during the Gulf War, and siliconosis, immune-mediated symptoms triggered by silicon exposure in prostheses and breast implants, are now being considered under ASIA's umbrella.

How to Reduce Aluminum and Mercury

  • Reduce your exposure
  • Binders in gut
  • Micro-Silica, Biosil or Regenemax twice a day
  • Chlorella, start with 1 gram with each meal and increase to a minimum of 4-8 grams with each meal
  • Cilantro soup or tincture daily once gut is ready
  • Sauna


Glyphosate

This isn't just Roundup. It's many toxins acting in concert.

  • Why are so many more people getting sick?

How to Reduce Toxic Effects of Glyphosate

  • Avoid GM/GE foods--corn, sugar beets, soy alfalfa, canola, cottonseed oil, papayas (Hawaii)
  • Avoid conventional grains, peas, beans, lentils, cane sugar
  • Avoid junk food
  • Take glycine 1000 mg twice a day
  • Take extra minerals
  • Take larger amounts of probiotics
  • Take antioxidants

Electrosmog

  • Cell phones
  • Smart meters
  • WiFi
  • Dirty electricity
  • Ground currents
  • Cellular antenna/towers

Magda Havas, PhD

  • Another INTERPHONE study says increased risk of brain tumors with high radio frequency exposure.
  • January 6, 2012 - Cardis study, January 2, 2012, Occupational and Environmental Medicine
  • Increased risk of glioma (a type of brain tumor) in long-term mobile phone users with high RF (radio frequency) exposure and a lower risk for meningioma (a tumor of the membrane surrounding the brain)
  • These data point to a causal association, but the authors conclude that, "The uncertainty of these results requires that they be replicated before a causal interpretation can be made."
  • While this is correct from a scientific perspective, I question this conclusion from an ethical and policy perspective.
  • What we do not lack are volunteers subjecting themselves to this radiation. What we do lack is funding to conduct studies on RF exposure for cancers and other illnesses ... and the political will to act in the interim based on data that are already remarkably damaging about the safety of mobile phone use and RF exposure.

  • Drink green tea
  • Eat your greens: watercress, dandelion greens, cilantro
  • Artichokes
  • Garlic, onions, egg yoks, ginger
  • Pomegranate
  • Cocoa
  • Fiber-psyllium, ground up flax seeds, oatmeal/fiber
  • 20-35 grams of fiber a day
  • Enough filtered water: divide your weight in pounds by 2 and drink that many ounces of clean water a day

  • Special diets and more focused supplements for a limited period of time
  • Activities to enhance relaxing

Sauna

  • Increases the rate of fat burning.
  • Toxins in subcutaneous fat pads release through skin.
  • Toxins from the majority of the fat goes into circulation.

  • How well can the body handle that?
  • Must have the liver primed and avenues of elimination before doing this.

  • Adjust time (5-30 minutes) and heat (100-150 degrees F) as tolerated.
